It all started with a YouTube video showing how make a furnace with charcoal and a bucket. It was not long until Walker Hussey had a complete foundry which could melt metals up to 2000 degrees farenheit, including lots of his father's discarded alluminum beer cans. Casting metal led to an understanding of heat and an interest in steel - watching Forged in Fire also helped, and soon Walker was turning his attention to knives. Now he is regularly cutting and quenching high quality steel into blades with wood handles.
